The Heart of the East Cape

Hello everyone once again from hotel buenavista, the heart of the Eastcape
Weather was a bit tricky with some lightning, thunder and early morning rain for a couple of days but once the storm went away it has been nearly perfect overcasted at times hot in the low to mid 90s humid with the water temps ranging from the mid to high 80s
With winds blowing south , south east from 5  up to 14 mph
As far as bait goes there have been plenty of it … Mackerel , Caballito , Camiseta, Ballyhoo, Sardine , skip Jack’s and many more

Bottom fishing has been a great surprise for the crews landing Amberjack rounding the 30lbs. Snapper, Cabrilla ,Pompano , Jack cravalle
Big schools of dolphins , tuna , Dorado
Even whales we’re seen this past week few minutes south of El rincón
From la marina all the way to the lighthouse has been great for rooster fishing
Remember They’re for catch and release and enjoy a good fight

For the most part tuna has been the star of the movie being found from El rincón down past Los frailes all the way to the Destiladeras
Chumming with squid , live sardine or mackerel also with cedar plugs

We also want to welcome back 2 group of anglers who year after year they’re here with us to fish , enjoy a great time and make memories to last forever and share later with their friends… Richard Medel’s group have been with us for the last 15 years
And also the Stoked On Fishing group making their 3rd trip back in 3 years
