2018 Eastcape Bisbee’s Fishing Tournament 

Hi  there everyone! We had a very busy week at hotel buenavista for 2018 Eastcape Bisbee’s fishing tournament

Weather couldn’t be any better than the one we had ranging from mid 80s to low 90s with a cool breeze blowing from the south in the afternoon

Started on Tuesday July 31st with 61 teams signing up , locals from the East Cape, Los Cabos, Tijuana , USA and France were in for the big money and a great time

Wednesday Aug 1st just a few minutes before 7 am a memorial ceremony was held to honor the memory of Bob Bisbee’s who recently left us and it was the 1st tournament in 38 years he wasn’t there for it.
At 7 o’clock was the beginning of a great tournament were black and blue Marlin were brought to the scale

1st place Marlin team Booze Brothers aboard the Reel Machine with a black marlin weighting 538 lb. the angler was Steve McCoy

Team Feeling Azul from San Jose del Cabo baja México brought in the 2nd heaviest billfish of the day but was not enough to to make it thru the daily jackpots but still managed to make some $$ thanks to a 481 lb  black Marlin
2nd place was for team sporty game with a 370 lb Blue Marlin angler Jacob Rodriguez
3rd place was for team Wild Hooker with a 393 lb black Marlin

On the Dorado category one big bull came to the scale on day 1 and took all the $$ from the 3 day jackpots
Team Outcast from Los Cabos baja México angler Clarence Rouse landed a 50.5 lb Dorado
On the Release category

Team karma 3 took 3rd place releasing 2 blues & 3 striped Marlin

Team Reel Gold took 2nd place releasing 4 blue Marlin
Team Real quest took the 1st place on the Release category letting go 4 blue Marlin + 2 stripped

On the tuna category prizes were split in the 3 day fishing tournament same as on the Billfish we had a different winner on each day of the competition

On day 1 team North star landed a 102.3 yellow fin tuna
Angler Adrian Camacho taking the 1st day , heaviest tuna and the daily jackpot

On day 2 team Mama Serena from Mazatlan Sinaloa Méx took the 2nd day prizes and daily jackpots

Day 3 was for Baja’s awesome sport fishing owned by theresa Comber landing a 78.1 yellow fin tuna angler Dan Steimle
Congratulations to all the teams who made this tournament possible it was great to have you here

As the celebration came close to an end  the firework show exploded  in the sky as “we are the champions” song was played for a perfect ending
