And fishing continues to please our guests……

Week ending September 21, 2016

Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort

Temperature ranging from 73 to 88 degrees with afternoon breezes and some rain earlier in the week; sea temps from 85 to 87.

Not to worry though.  Fishing continues to please our guests who are taking advantage of our September weather. As the month wears down it would seem that the final two months of the season are shaping up to be fantastic.

Here’s a video of the Marlintini coming into Buena Vista Beach Resort pier after a day on the hunt. 10 Tuna (20-30-pounds, 4 Dorado (15-20-pounds) and a nice sailfish released

In the “let’s throw another wahoo steak on the barbie” department, Mike Barker from Huntington Beach landed this nice wahoo weighing over 50 pounds.

Both blue and striped marlin, joined by a few sailfish, out in front of La Ribera put on a show for the few boats fishing there.

Still plenty of small dorado around with a few larger ones mixed in, plus yellowfin tuna are traveling with the porpoise schools a bit farther down and farther offshore.

And don’t forget to save some your bait for a roosterfish or two at the pier before you head for the pool and a cool one.

The good fishing and weather is leading up to a great introduction to our 40th Year Anniversary Celebration on November 3 to 6, 2016.  There’s still time to make your reservations and we hope to see you here!

Our celebration begins with a Welcome Party and Mexican Fiesta on Thursday, Nov. 3; Grill Night with live music on Friday, Nov. 4; and on Saturday, November 5, our Grande Fiesta Fishing Tournament will be followed by a blowout Beach Party. If you want more information about our 40th Year Anniversary Celebration click here
