Marc here from Buena Vista Beach Resort, with the latest on the action here in the East Cape. Tropical weather over the last week, has slowed our fantastic Marlin bite down somewhat, but action still remains good and is improving as the conditions return to normal. The Tuna and Dorado bite remain sketchy, with Tuna still almost 2 hours to the South and definitely not worth the run, as most are in the 8-15 lb. class and Dorado are still remaining elusive. Hopefully, things will turn around soon, as we’re missing these two species to round out our daily counts. On a positive note, the Billfish action has been the best we’ve seen in a few years, with big Blues showing up earlier than usual and in large numbers, along with an abundance of Stripers and Sails.
With the Bisbee East Cape Tournament going off next week, we’re looking forward to the best tournament we’ve had in the last 3-4 years. That’s all for this report. Stay tuned for the latest on the Bisbee, as well as BVBR, where you’ll always find the lowest Fishing/Room Rates available in the East Cape. Until then…Keep it tight! Adios
