This past week was a good example of what anglers can expect in weeks to come – good fishing for a variety of species! Hosting the Lance Camper group, now for 20-plus years, almost all of the “Campers” fished their first full day with us. Their totals included a quadruple hook up on the Alegria that resulted in 2 marlin being leadered and one coming onboard long enough for a photo plus a few sierra.
For the most part, it was all about the striped marlin and dorado this past week along with bonito and a few shark as our Lance Camper Group headed offshore in hopes of not only tight lines but a few photo opportunities of some of the abundant sea life the Sea of Cortez has to offer. Although none of our guests chose to avail themselves to the inshore fishing, roosterfish and jacks entertained themselves crashing bait up and down the beach.
On the last day of this report (Thursday to Thursday) the wind offered one last chance for the kiteboarders as we wind down the season and head into some solid summer fishing.
