Last week our guests all headed south, off Los Frailes looking for limits of dorado. It was a no brainer since they have been finding limits and then staying to catch and release more or heading further offshore in search of tuna. We only found tuna for a few days and that was at the end of the week, but a few larger fish were found mixed in with the footballs.
We had more rain and some choppy seas as well but the fishing was still good for billfish, a few marlin and the dorado. The dorado were also a little larger grade, with more bulls in the mix as well.
Counts for the week, from Friday to Friday included: 152 dorado either caught or released, 4 marlin, 4 sails, 2 wahoo, a few roosters, pargo and 12 tuna.
